There seems to be some recent discussion regarding the Louisiana National Guard's response to Hurricane Katrina. Over at Iraq Now (http://iraqnow.blogspot.com/) , Jason van Steenwyk, links to an article where his previous post concerning the military's response to Katrina was analyzed. Jason's previous article did a great job in analyzing what goes into a military response to a hurricane. A May, 2006 article at Real Clear Politics lays out the unreported aspects of the LaNG response. My favorite part of the article is Maj. Ed Bush's comments on porta potties and food rationing. The LaNG did its job and did it well.
